Finally, Microsoft Azure and Office 365 local data centres is available in the United Kingdom from today! These are based in London and Durham regions. This announcement has been long overdue for several organisations who have had huge reservations of not residing their corporate data in the Microsoft Cloud.

Well to allay those concerns, these new data centre regions add in-region data residency, failover and disaster recovery to help effectively address the legal, regulatory and compliance needs of customers in industries like banking, government, public sector and healthcare.

Few of the organisations below have already signed for the UK data centre to leverage Office 365 Cloud Communication and Productivity platform:

• South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (the country’s largest mental health trust)
• Aston Martin
• Capita
• Rosslyn Analytic

Additionally, in the first half of 2017, Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online will join the currently available line up in the U.K.
