Project Online and Project for Office 365 subscriptions are changing

Few months ago in August new plans for Project Online and Project for Office 365 customers were introduced and in essence there are some differences between new plans and existing Project Online related plans retiring on 31 Dec 2016 for existing customers.

If you are currently subscribing to Office 365 Project Online services plans. The main action you (or your Office 365 Administrator) need to take on your first renewal date following December 31st, 2016, is select a new Project Online plan as outlined in the table below.

If you currently use this plan Status You will need this plan
Project Lite Renamed Project Online Essentials
Project for Office 365 (Project Pro for Office 365) Will be retired Project Online Professional
Project Online Will be retired Project Online Premium
Project Online with Project Pro for Office 365 Will be retired Project Online Premium/Project Online Professional

  • Each subscription license allows for up to five concurrent installations of the Project desktop application.

  • Portfolio selection and optimization
  • Demand management
  • Enterprise resource management
