Last weekend I had a pleasure in attending and speaking at an inaugural SharePoint Saturday Paris 2015 and it was a sold-out and successful event! The marketing of this event compared to other SharePoint Saturday events was very well planned and executed by the organisers. It was very special for me because my wife travelled with me for the first time to one of these SPS Events, especially where I speak in SPSUK every year so that made worthwhile and meeting with the fellow speakers and sponsors and the attendees.

I presented one session “Validating your SharePoint 2013 Farm before Go-Live” which was a session based on my recent work within a public sector organisation in which IT service provider has delivered a SharePoint platform and left with end-users responsible for the rollout to the whole organisation and I was brought in to support improvements and steer the rollout. During my time there I identified many gaps and problems which affected the rollout so this session was very much to raise awareness of the things to watch out and identify risks early on.

Finally, I would like to thank the attendees, staff, sponsors and the organisers for having me in what was a fantastic event – well done to all! Hopefully see you all next year!
