Awarded Chartered IT Professional (CITP) status
Having returned from a holiday it was nice to have been awarded a CITP (Chartered IT Professional) status by the British Computer Society (BCS). It is a benchmark of IT excellence with worldwide recognition. It was a demanding three stage process from a lengthy written application with a supported reference followed by ‘Breadth of Knowledge’ exam and online interview with powerpoint presentation with BCS assessors. For me the process has taken over a year with other commitments to hand but well worth the status. Further details can be found on the BCS website.
Congratulations on becoming a Chartered IT Professional (CITP). It is an important award, equivalent to other chartered professionals, such as Chartered Accountants and Chartered Surveyors.
Your readers may want to look at my colleague’s article ‘Chartered IT Professional (CITP)‘, which explores this further. I’ve also written on the growing importance of being a Chartered IT Professional.
