Awarded BCS CITP Revalidation of Certificate of Current Competence
I am delighted to share that I have successfully completed the certificate of current competence revalidation assessment through BCS (British Computer Society) for continued CITP status, which I achieved 5 years ago.
CITP (Chartered IT Professional) is the benchmark of IT excellence and an International standard developed in consultation with public and private sector employers and the academic community, to truly reflect today’s IT profession, as well as, aligned with The Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA), the UK Government backed competency framework.
To meet the assessment criteria for ‘Certificate of Current Competence’ with 5 yearly revalidation, my professional experience and evidence was assessed on SFIA Skill Level 5 (Ensure and Advise) which comprises of following:
- Anatomy
- Influence
- Complexity
- Business Skills
As an independent IT consultant performing roles in various disciplines & capacities, working with mainly Microsoft technologies and being a CITP member helps me to keep up-to-date with the IT industry changes and my current role and future rules will always demand expert level knowledge and capabilities to support and increase business value for customers.
So if you’re interested to get started you can find out more details about the CITP application and assessment process.
